The transmission in your car allows power from the engine to be sent to the drive mechanism. Internet data is transmitted over optic cables or wireless signals. Your body operates in a similar fashion. 

Signals, or nerve impulses, are transmitted over and through your nerve system. Those signals are created in the brain and sent to every inch of your body, controlling and orchestrating every action and function.
